Jenna Ohlson, the founder of JIG Plumbing & Constructions Projects, is a plumber and project manager who has achieved her lifelong dream of opening a female-directed plumbing and construction company. Ohlson completed her Plumbing, Civil Engineering, and Construction certifications at False Bay College, and then moved on to study Business Management. She is also certified in solar installation. Before striking out on her own and establishing JIG in 2016, Ohlson worked as a quantity surveyor at David’s Group Construction and co-director at M/H Plumbing. As a project manager and business owner, Ohlson relies heavily on her keen ability to stay calm and level-headed in all situations and applies her strong problem-solving skills in the work environment. She prioritizes honesty and reliability in all of the work she does. Ohlson lives with her husband and four-year-old daughter in the Cape Town area, and is expecting a baby boy in the fall.
